A Journeyof Self-Discovery

THE RITE JOURNEY

One of the most transformative experiences offered at St Patrick’s College.

The Rite Journey is a program designed to support our young men in Year 9 through their transition into adulthood.

Created by Andrew Lines, this program reinforces the role of parents and carers, ensuring that students receive the mentorship, guidance, and real-world conversations they need at a pivotal stage of their development.

Delivered as part of the Year 9 curriculum, The Rite Journey recognises the importance of this stage in emotional and physical growth. In an era where young people often turn to peers, media, and the internet for guidance, this program restores the value of personal mentorship, encouraging students to become true Men of Action as they:

  • Reflect on respect, responsibility, and resilience
  • Engage in meaningful discussions with mentors, peers, and family
  • Develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a young man in today’s world

This structured approach to personal growth ensures that students leave Year 9 with greater self-confidence, emotional maturity, and a strong sense of purpose, qualities that will serve them well throughout their lives.
