CATHOLIC IDENTITY

At St Patrick’s College, faith is lived daily.

Inspired by the teaching of Jesus Christ and the spirit of Edmund Rice, our Catholic identity shapes every aspect of College life. It's how our Men of Action learn with purpose, lead with integrity, and support one another with heart.

We proudly welcome students of all faiths and encourage every young man to engage meaningfully in the spiritual life of the College. Through prayer, service, and community, we nurture a deep sense of meaning and connection that lasts far beyond the classroom.

Here’s how we bring our Catholic identity to life:

Prayer & Liturgy

Prayer is an integral part of daily life at the College, continuing the tradition established by Edmund Rice and the Christian Brothers. As a community, we gather regularly to mark significant moments in the liturgical calendar including Easter, St Patrick’s Day and the Commissioning of College Leaders. A weekly mass is also celebrated every Friday at 8am in the College Chapel, open to all who wish to attend.

RCIA Program

The Rite of Catholic Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is offered to both students and staff, supporting those who wish to explore their faith journey more deeply. Through this program, participants may choose to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Communion.

Retreats & Immersions

Each year level has a retreat experience to help our young men reflect on their journey and to deepen their sense of the sacred in their lives.

Paddy’s Van Ministries

The Paddy’s Van Ministries invite all students to live out their faith through meaningful service and solidarity. Rooted in the Gospel and the vision of Edmund Rice, this ministry empowers young men to become Men of Action, responding with compassion to those in need.
